Located one mile east of Stevenson, Washington, off Hwy 14, Skamania Coves is conveniently situated close to small, charming towns with shops, museums, restaurants, wine-tasting, kayaking, whitewater rafting, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, exploring waterfalls, hiking trails, and more!

Skamania Coves’ vacation homes include: The Bluff House, The High House, Beacon Rock Condo, and Sternwheeler Condo—each built in the Cascadia craftsman style. The Overlook is the original renovated home with an exceptional, handcrafted inlaid wooden ceiling. These homes sleep six people, offer WiFi, stereo, dish TV, heated floors, gas fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The Riverhouse is a private one-bedroom, fully equipped bungalow with a small studio “Garden Shed” to host additional River House guests. Our newest addition, The Osprey Treehouse, is built 45 feet above ground, around a sturdy Douglas Fir and offers a loft, full bathroom, mini fridge and microwave.

Bluff House

The Bluff House is Skamania Coves’ largest, and more luxurious house, nestled upon a raised bluff overlooking the Columbia River. This stunning 2-bedroom, 2-bath Cascadian-style home comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Gorge from the many oversized windows and glass doors throughout the home or while soaking in the private patio hot tub.

High House

The High House at Skamania Coves is a luxury home nestled upon a small hill overlooking the Columbia River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. This stunning 2-bedroom, 2-bath Cascadian-style home comfortably sleeps up to six people. Riverhouse

The Riverhouse is Skamania Coves’ most private and removed house with personal access to its own beach and cove. Surrounded by a soundproof fence, this 1-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow, sleeps two to four people, offering a romantic, relaxing, and very private getaway. Within the Riverhouse’s compound, the Garden Shed is available for Riverhouse guests to rent as well. This offers an additional bed and half bath for an extra two people.

Overlook

The historical Overlook at Skamania Coves is the original house on the property built by Mr. and Mrs. Brooks in the 1940’s. An accomplished and talented woodworker, Mr. Brooks designed and created the magnificent wooden inlaid ceiling in the living room, as well as the multiple built-in cabinets throughout the house. Positioned to purposefully overlook and take advantage of the spectacular views of the Columbia, the house has an oversized deck, a sweet lookout point, and large windows. This cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bath home can sleep up to six people.

Treehouse

Aptly named the Osprey Treehouse because the Osprey spent the summer hovering and watching us build the treehouse. This 20 foot Octagon is built around a single grand old Douglas Fir that is 42” in diameter. There are oversized windows and a sliding door that give you the feeling of being high up in the trees. The entrance into the treehouse is level and parking is close.

RV Spaces

Skamania Coves offers limited RV spaces with full hook ups. 10 spaces on the upper lot accommodate large RV's and come with 50 amp service as well as full hook ups. Some spaces are well shaded and others have open views of the Columbia River and Gorge Mountains. All spots are only a few minutes walk away from the river. Laundry, showers and restrooms are close by and have been recently remodeled.

Nestled in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, the largest National Scenic area in America, Skamania Coves offers luxury, recreation, and relaxation! With breathtaking views of the river and mountains, it is easy to imagine yourself fishing along the Columbia River, enjoying a beautiful scenic hike, windsurfing or sailing, splashing in the water in one of our coves, or simply enjoying the fresh air and local amenities available in Stevenson or in the nearby towns of White Salmon and Cascade Locks.
