What our Guests Say

Skamania Coves delivers on breathtaking views, and luxurious accommodations with all the amenities you need. Walking the grounds brings me peace and serenity, and the eagles always appear when I am there. It is secluded and cozy, with restaurants and shops just a mile away. I visit annually, and it is a highlight of my year.

I cannot say enough about this special place on Earth. We have a finite number of years in life to choose our vacation spots. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here. Enjoy Hood River, hike Dog Mountain, tour the “Fruit Loop”, wine taste, cruise the Sternwheeler, walk part of the Pacific Crest Trail, visit the numerous waterfalls in The Gorge and then unwind at the Resort at Skamania Coves and let the surroundings just cleanse your soul, because it will. You’ll leave a better person than you arrived.

The Overlook House, it’s like a visit with grandma and screams lets have some lengthy, deep conversations. This home has many original features including an incredible carved wood ceiling. The larger of the two bedrooms had the most incredible views of the Gorge and to be
lucky enough to wake up to that… you’ll never forget it. This house has a huge deck and is the perfect place to stargaze at night and I have done that. It was incredible.

Absolutely breathtaking views right outside the home. The house is very clean and modern enough. Very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of things to do around Cascade Locks, Hood River, and other towns, but you'll be tempted to hang at the house and enjoy the incredible view and relax. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in the Overlook cabin. It felt very private. The view was stunning off the deck. The amenities worked well. It was great to have a full kitchen. The bed was comfortable with nice pillows. It was very clean. It was convenient to many sites in the Columbia Valley gorge.

I stayed for two nights in the treehouse. It’s located about one mile east of Stevenson Washington. I never saw anyone on the property. It’s close to highway and the railway tracks. You don’t here the road noise but the trains are more on a regular basis. The treehouse is very nice. It has its own bathroom and shower. It has a small table for eating and small kitchen area. It has a microwave and small sink. The bedroom is located in the loft. You climb a letter to reach the bedroom. There is a balcony with a nice view. The place was very clean and I look forward to coming back soon.

A lovely boutique RV park. Great views of the river. We enjoyed the private walk down to the coves, where we skipped stones and played on boulders on the river. The property is well maintained and the bathrooms were clean and functional.
Don’t forget your white noise machine. Highway on one side, and train tracks on the other provides some noise. Not too bad.

This place is spectacular! We found it while looking for a last minute 3 day getaway and I am so thankful we did. Beautiful views, beautiful property, and close to all the hikes we wanted to do. This was our first time to visit, but it definitely won't be our last. Plus the manager was so kind to contact me when she found my friend's camera and ship it to him. 🧡
