Property Overview

Family owned and privately operated, Skamania Coves offers a unique and special place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature, wildlife, the Columbia River, and its surrounding areas.

Nestled on 30 acres of riverside property, we have 7 luxurious vacation homes and RV spaces to choose from – each with its own spectacular river view and use of waterfront coves. Located one mile east of the charming town of Stevenson, makes easy shopping for groceries, gifts, eating out, and boat launching. A quick drive to Cascade Locks, Hood River, Carson, and White Salmon offers more shopping, delicious restaurants, wineries, breweries, as well as nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, whitewater rafting, windsurfing, sailing, etc.

Our homes provide guests with fully equipped kitchens, one to two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa (sleeping for a maximum of six people). Other amenities include heated floors, gas fireplaces, large outside patios with sitting, propane barbeques, Starlink Internet, Dish TV, games, parking for two vehicles, plus so much more. Two-night minimum stay. No Smoking in homes or on property.

The High House and Bluff House each have hot tubs and an outside shower for rinsing.

Riverhouse and High House are pet friendly homes.

Note: The Riverhouse bungalow has one bedroom, with a sleeper sofa (sleeping a total of four). The Garden Shed, within the Riverhouse’s private compound, sleeps another two and has a half bathroom and an outside shower.

Exception: The Osprey Treehouse sleeps two, has a partial kitchen, no stove or oven, no fireplace, no barbeque, and no WiFi.  For safety reasons, no children under the age of twelve or pets allowed. Reservations can be made for a one-night minimum, up to four-night maximum stay.

Currently, six of our RV spaces are available for nightly reservations. Each space offers full hookups with 30 and 50 amp electrical, sewer, and water. There is a laundry room available to use (please request). Due to Covid health concerns, our public restrooms and showers will remain closed.

Skamania Coves is not designed as an event site. If you are planning a wedding, family reunion, company retreat, please look at Skamania Lodge or other nearby resources.

There is no office, or office manager, or office hours. We are a self-check in facility. Reservations for our homes and RV park are made online via this website. Our property manager lives on site and is available to answer questions when needed. Please leave a message at (509) 427-4900 or send an email to info@skamaniacoves.com and they will respond between the hours of 9:00am to 7:00pm.

Please be advised that the railway runs along both sides of the Columbia River and right through our property. Trains are part of the culture and gorge experience. They have random schedules and run throughout the day and night. The railroad has strict rules we abide by. Therefore, only cars that belong to the Riverhouse guests can drive through the second security gate. Please use safety when crossing. Always have pets on leashes and hold children’s hand when crossing.
